From the Ground Up: A Place of Care Is Coming Together

The progress at Ken Sargent House continues to be both exciting and meaningful as the building takes shape from the ground up.

The concrete foundation is now fully in place, creating a strong base that will support the house for decades to come. Around the exterior, insulation and protective materials are being installed to help keep the building warm, efficient, and well protected from the elements.

Inside the foundation, concrete pilings and structural supports are clearly visible, forming the backbone of the building. Steel beams are being carefully installed above, allowing for open and welcoming interior spaces once construction moves upward. Dedicated areas for mechanical systems are also being built, ensuring the house will function smoothly and comfortably for every family who stays there.

Across the site, crews continue excavation, grading, and detailed measurements to prepare for the next stages of construction. Each step is carefully planned and thoughtfully executed, with the future purpose of Ken Sargent House always in mind.

Every wall poured and beam placed brings this home closer to becoming a reality, a place where families can stay close to loved ones on their medical journey, find comfort during difficult moments, and take a breath knowing they are not alone. We are grateful to everyone who has helped bring Ken Sargent House to this point and look forward to sharing more milestones as construction continues.
