A Home in the Making: Inside the Progress at Ken Sargent House
With each passing week, your future Ken Sargent House is becoming more than a construction site; it’s becoming a place of comfort, care, and connection.
Beneath the surface, important work is well underway. The foundation and basement structure are complete, providing a strong and stable base for the home. Crews are carefully preparing spaces for heating, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, laying the groundwork for a building that will be warm, safe, and welcoming in every season. In the crawlspace, vapour barriers are being installed to protect the house from moisture and support its long-term durability.
Above ground, the vision is truly beginning to take shape. Framing has started on the main level, with walls rising to outline future bedrooms and shared spaces. Walking through the framed rooms, it’s easy to imagine families finding rest, quiet moments, and reassurance—just steps away from their loved ones receiving care.
Outside, site preparation continues with additional supports being installed to ensure the building remains strong for years to come. Across the site, skilled trades are working together with care and precision, each contributing to a space designed with compassion at its heart.
Every board placed and every wall framed brings Ken Sargent House closer to opening its doors. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has supported this project so far. Your generosity is helping create a home where families can stay close, find comfort, and focus on what matters most during some of life’s most difficult moments.
